Straight face

It’s rainy and grey outside, thinning out the fair-weather cyclists, but brightening and warming a little nonetheless. There have been some good sunsets. I had to open a window one (1) day this week.

Three gym visits. Shroud is becoming a slog, just one weird alien after another with no real narrative momentum. I’m past the halfway point so I might as well stick with it, but I’m finding it hard to keep paying attention.

I don’t have anything nice to say about work at the moment so I won’t say anything at all. One day at a time. I took Friday off which helped.

On Wednesday it went a bit Silent Hill outside.

I had a nice catch-up with Tekin on Monday, and returned to Lou & Dan’s for another good party yesterday. Here’s a photo of me accidentally wearing a party hat that’s the same colour as my T-shirt.

Still knackered tbh. Last night I took a nap from 8pm to 10pm, then pottered about for a couple of hours, then officially went to bed around midnight. I’ve never had such a late nap before, and I’m not sure it’s distinguishable from simply going to bed at 8pm.

I played the Pragmata demo which is so self-evidently naff that it’s been effective in saving me fifty quid on the full game. It has such strong “focus, M” energy that I thought it was a joke at first, but no, they’re still making games like this with a straight face.
